Women’s Division Info

• Uniform – The uniform for 2010 and 2011 is Light Yellow Suits or Dresses and Silver accessories.  Corsages and handkerchiefs will cost $10.00.
   

• Music packs will cost $30.00.  Please come prepared to purchase the music.  The writers are really losing money when we don’t purchase their music.  They have the expense of scoring, publishing the music and shipping it.
   

• Ladies, we have finalized our cookbooks.  You will be able to purchase at the workshop.  Please come prepared to purchase.  The printed book is $15.00 and the CD is $15.00.
   

•  Ladies, we want to award a scholarship to a deserving young member in your chapter.  Please check the GMWA website and click on the link for Women’s Scholarship.  Fill in the application and submit to our scholarship committee.
   

• The Hatters’ Tea Affair will be better than ever.  The tickets are $35.00.  You should have tickets in your chapters, if not please let us know.  We would like for each chapter to get a table.
   

• Ladies, don’t forget to take charge of your health.  Eat properly (more fruits and veggies, less salty and sugary snacks), drink plenty of water, exercise (walk) at least 30 minutes a day, and remember to do your self-breast exam and get your mammograms done.
   

• We would like for each chapter to join in the MS GMWA contest.  For years now it has been Birmingham and Houston competing.   Please represent, this helps us towards our scholarships.
   

• Remember ladies, our first rehearsal is on Sunday after Communion.  We are looking forward to seeing you there.  Mother Berkeley has promised to give a prize to the woman who brings the largest number of new members in to join us. 

 We have a lot going on, let’s get busy and make this a great convention!
